Christmas Program 2025
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Salem Sunday School meets during the school year from September through April. Classes do not meet on Sundays that fall during school holidays. Classes are available for students from 3 years old up through 9th grade, confirmation class. Sunday School activities include Bible stories, memory work, singing, arts & crafts, games and culinary activities.

Salem VBS will be on August 3-6 from 6pm to 8:30 pm.

Confirmation & First Communion Classes
Salem Confirmation classes begin Sept 17, Wednesday night.
First Communion classes start on Sept 21 during Sunday School. First Communion is Oct. 12.

Salem had a cookout to celebrate the last day of Sunday School. Hamburgers, hot dogs, buns, chips, macaroni salad, and ice cream sundaes were a hit! Thank you to the Salem Council for providing the lunch and doing the grilling.
Salem Confirmation Banquet
April 29, 2026
Salem had three confirmands this year and were hosted at a banquet. After the meal of lasagna, Council president David Hofstad welcomed everyone to the banquet. Aaron Dyrud was the guest speaker. Erica sang a song based on the poem Footprints. The meal was prepared by the Board of Education will help from WELCA. Seventh graders did the serving.

Youth Activities
Lots of activities for all ages!
In addition to Sunday School, Salem offers VBS (Vacation Bible School) for a week in the summer. Fifth graders take a class about communion so they are ready for their first communion. Eighth and ninth graders have weekly confirmation classes during the school year. Sunday School also continues their confirmation studies. Junior and Senior High youth are also able to participate in the parish youth group.
